Radon Mitigation Systems Built for NEPA Homes

Keystone Radon Mitigation designs and installs systems that vent radon safely outdoors and reduce elevated indoor radon levels.

How mitigation works

Radon levels can be reduced by installing a mitigation system. The most common system uses sealed PVC piping and a fan to draw radon from below the home and vent it safely outside.

Every home is different, so the installation approach depends on the foundation, sump openings, slab conditions, utilities, and test results.

  • Sub-slab and sump-based mitigation options
  • Exterior vent and fan installation where appropriate
  • Sealing of practical entry points such as cracks, drains, and sump openings
  • System monitoring so homeowners can see that the fan is operating

When to mitigate

The EPA recommends action when a confirmed radon test shows 4 pCi/L or higher. Many homeowners also choose to reduce lower levels for added peace of mind.

What to expect

Most residential systems are installed efficiently with minimal disruption. Keystone Radon Mitigation is DEP Certified, fully insured, and experienced with homes throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania.
